NAP’s 5X DNA Loading Buffer: Dual Color is used to prepare DNA samples before loading them onto agarose or polyacrylamide gels. It contains two distinct dyes, Orange G in the orange variant and Bromophenol Blue, to visually track DNA migration during electrophoresis. It also contains EDTA, which binds divalent metal ions and effectively inhibits metal-dependent nucleases. In 1% agarose gels, Orange G and Bromophenol Blue comigrate with approximately 50 bp and 300 bp DNA fragments, respectively.
