NAP’s 5X DNA Loading Buffer: Orange is used to prepare DNA samples before loading them onto agarose or polyacrylamide gels. It contains Orange G to track DNA migration during electrophoresis visually. It also contains EDTA, which binds divalent metal ions and effectively inhibits metal-dependent nucleases. In 1% agarose gels, Orange G comigrates with approximately 50 bp fragment.
